What's New: Detect AI agents, access B2B professionals, and more

From detecting AI agents with perfect precision to combining screening criteria in more flexible ways, plus access to thousands of verified professionals — read on to see how our latest updates benefit your work.
Detect bots and AI agents with new Bot authenticity checks
Bots and agentic AI can now complete entire surveys autonomously, putting your data quality at risk. Our new bot authenticity checks identify when automated scripts or agents are completing your study.
Bot checks use real-time behavioral analysis to detect non-human patterns across all question types in your survey. In our testing, these checks successfully detected five mainstream and custom AI agents with 100% accuracy, and performed better than other methods commonly used to detect AI.
This free tool works for all Qualtrics studies and runs alongside our existing LLM authenticity checks, which catch when participants use AI tools like ChatGPT to write free-text answers (with 98.7% precision). Together, they ensure your data reflects genuine human insight, not simulated responses that waste your time and money.

Set your display name in Account settings.
Watch: Can AI improve how groups make decisions?
In the first-ever episode of our podcast The Frontier, we sat down with Google DeepMind’s Crystal Qian, creator of Deliberate Lab, an open-source platform she developed with Google's PAIR (People + AI Research) team for running real-time behavioral experiments with humans and AI.
The platform helps researchers study collective decision-making and AI behavior in dynamic group settings — areas where traditional static benchmarks fall short.

New research: What helps retention in longitudinal studies
Keeping participants engaged across multiple study waves is one of the biggest challenges in longitudinal research. Andrew Gordon and Simon Jones' new paper examines which factors significantly improve retention rates, offering practical insights for researchers running multi-wave studies.

Prolific researchers win AI evals hackathon
Congratulations to Nora and Jerome for winning the recent Apart Research AI evals hackathon! Using Prolific participants to validate their findings, their project "Who Does Your AI Serve? Manipulation By and Of AI Assistants" examined how AI assistants can be manipulated by operators to prioritize certain interests, and how users attempt to manipulate AI systems in return.
They'll present their work, "Who Does Your AI Serve? Manipulation By and Of AI Assistants," at the International Association for Safe & Ethical AI (IASEAI) conference in Paris, February 24-26, 2026.
